Commit or Commot

Happy New Year everyone!!! Yes, I know it is February, but as a naija babe, it is never too late to say happy new year. With the new year comes the resolutions. One of mine this year is the phrase, ‘commit or commot.’ What does this mean you may ask?(especially my non-naija counterparts) We have those relationships in our lives that we cannot define. Sometimes they are romantic relationships, friendships, or family relationships. Basically any association that you have with people that you cannot tag is an undefinable relationship.

I hate them sooo much. When people ask about the nature of your relationship, you cannot give a definite answer. It leaves you questioning and wondering, and believe me you, ain’t nobody got time for that. So this 2016, I reject unnamable relationships. This 2016, I say no to acquaintancies that have no hopes of becoming friendships. This 2016, you better commit or commot.

Luke 6:35-‘But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.’
