Funny Story

Hi everyone,

I know I haven’t been blogging for a while, but I am back now. This past week was spring break, and I was privileged to go visit my friend at San Diego. We had sooo much fun, but that is not the story for today. Ok so I went to San Diego last Monday. On Sunday, I went to church. I have been going to this church for about five Sundays now. I always use the train to go to church, and on my way back, something strange always happens. One time, my train stopped mid-tracks and had to be restarted. The kind of prayers I was praying ehn, even Virgin Mary has not prayed like that before.

That faithful Sunday, I was coming back from church. I skipped breakfast so I decided to grab a sandwich from the subway at the station. As I was ordering my sandwich, this guy came out from the back of the shop. I didn’t know if he came out from the bathroom or he worked there, but that wasn’t any of my business. I got my sandwich and walked down to the platform. I walked to the front extreme of the platform, where there wasn’t anybody there to eat my sandwich in peace.

Next thing, the guy from the shop walks down to the platform and asks me for help in reading the train map. I tried to find a map for him, but I couldn’t so I decided to google his stop to know what train he would use. Before I knew what was happening, this young man said, ‘I think you are beautiful.’ Hian. Is that why you came here? See me see crayfish. See person wey I dey help. You don spoil your market oh. He now continued, ‘Please can we talk for a few minutes?’ I was like, ‘Sorry, I have a train to catch.’ He now said, ‘Your train doesn’t come for another 15 minutes.’ That was when it became scary. How does he know my train, and when it was coming? Ne there wey I take know say that yansh get center parting. He asked for my number, and I said, ‘I don’t give my number to strangers.’ He now started coming closer. The scary part was that there was nobody there in my vicinity. I checked myself and my surrounding, and decided that the conversation is over. I smiled said, ‘Sorry, bye,’ and picked race from that place to where people were sitting.

It was actually so scary, but some people might be like,’ oh, he was just trying to get to know you.’ If that is how you get to know person, abeg me I no want am oo. Anyways, I came back and went on my fantastic break, and now I can write about this funny experience. Hope you all enjoyed Easter break. Tell me what you think in the comment section. Bye till next time.

Luke 11:21 “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed.”
